Sail away, sail away, sail away

A showcase of laid-back luxury

During the spring we made a team trip to St Ives, staying in some truly amazing luxury accommodation. And it was all courtesy of Sail Lofts, who wanted us to experience for ourselves the hospitality we had been briefed to design a new website for. Not a bad start to a project!

Full of inspiration, sea air, and fish & chips, we returned to Bath and set to work. Using elegant full browser design and a seamless user journey, we guided customers towards booking via a visual feast of all that Sail Lofts & St Ives have to offer. And by taking a mobile first approach, the responsive design is as easily viewed from the beach as it is from home.

Our front-end integrated with Anytime Booking’s booking engine, ensuring real-time room availability is accounted for and every customer enquiry is dealt with. And our bespoke CMS enables the Sail Lofts team to refresh the site content as often as they like.

Our secret weapon was the customer and press reviews. They’re easily some of the best write-ups we’ve ever seen, so we put them at the heart of the site, alongside the social content and team introductions which injected a personal touch to a high-end luxury brand.

Within a month of launch the new website has already proved it’s worth, with increased online bookings and decreased phone bookings; which even gave Sail Lofts Marketing Manager, Katie, the time to send a few nice words…

“What are you looking for when setting off on the road to redeveloping your website… Confidence, innovation, credibility, managed time scales? Kerve delivered on every front. From initial conversions, to pitching, right up to delivery. At no point were we left disappointed, due to Kerve’s willingness to deliver on our brief and in interpreting our vision of creating a website that brought together the brands unique assets.

Kerve did not only deliver the project on time, but excelled and raised our expectations to a whole new level in the product that they created for us. It was a pleasure working with the team at Kerve, and we had complete confidence in their abilities throughout the project and look forward to working with them in the near future.”
