Stuck in departure lounge purgatory? We helped break the boredom with interactive 3D pinball installations
Let’s blast departure-lounge boredom. Heathrow, and partner Acosta, wanted to entertain travellers across all four terminals. Themed around the UK’s ‘Summer of Sport’ in 2024, Kerve had creative freedom and built a nifty, futuristic 3D pinball activation with a twist.
Pinball wizardry
Our 3D pinball game was simple yet addictive. Kerve built a web-app that didn’t need to be downloaded and could be played instantly using a QR code. Perfectly suited to families; great for entertaining everyone in departures.
The game featured different balls at each level, representing the key sporting events of the summer. The Euros, Wimbledon, and The Olympics.
We took care of everything; the build, the communication, all the logistics around hardware. Heathrow benefitted from a sophisticated new activation area in each terminal. This included the purchase, delivery and set up of four large screens and totems, eight iPads and local network hardware.
