Mad about beer


Bath Ales have a new brewery and new 'Mad about beer' branding. Time for a new website.

Following their buy-out by St Austell Brewery, Bath Ales have been pretty busy. They’ve opened a new multi-million-pound brewery and refreshed their branding, which meant they needed a website to match. Having built their two previous sites, we were delighted to continue our 10-year relationship with Bath Ales and our much newer, but equally fruitful, relationship with St Austell Brewery.

We created a series of page templates and content blocks within a WordPress CMS. Combined, they give Bath Ales’ marketing team the ability to build and edit pages for the website without any coding knowledge. Having interpreted their new style guide in the website’s visual design, we added a few subtle animations and interactions to reflect the brand’s wit. These included the beer bottle element that sits beside the burger menu icon and enables users to dive straight into the most important part of the site – the beer pages. Site built and delivered, we left it to Bath Ales to go mad creating the pages and adding content.
